• A synthetic acetylated octapeptide designed to mimic the N-terminal region of SNAP-25, a SNARE-complex protein.
• The proposed mechanism is competition for a position in the SNARE complex, modulating neurotransmitter and catecholamine release at neuromuscular junctions.
• Formulation research has examined its relationship to neuronal excitability and muscle contraction tension.
• Separate materials-science work has examined it in copolymer assemblies with polyoxometalates.
• Independent published studies on SNAP-8 itself are limited. Most available efficacy data comes from supplier technical literature, and its parent compound is acetyl hexapeptide-3 (Argireline).

Handling and Storage

Supplied as a lyophilised powder in a sealed vial. Store as stated above, protected from light and moisture, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Any reconstitution must take place in a controlled laboratory setting.
