Refund and Return Policy

We want you to be confident ordering from Hunt Research Labs. This policy explains your rights when purchasing from us as a UK consumer, alongside some practical limitations specific to laboratory research products.

Your Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. To exercise this right, contact us at Contact@huntresearchlabs.com within this period.

If you cancel before your order has shipped, we will issue a full refund. If you cancel after receiving your order, you must contact us first to obtain a returns reference. The product must then be returned to us at your own cost, by a tracked service, unopened, with its original seal intact, and in the same condition it was received — see “Storage & Condition Requirements” below. You are responsible for the goods until they reach us, so we recommend insured postage.

Exception: Sealed Goods

Because our products are laboratory reagents supplied in sealed vials for research purposes, and their purity and integrity cannot be verified once the seal is broken, the right to cancel does not apply once a product’s seal has been broken, in accordance with the health protection and hygiene exemption under the 2013 Regulations.

Storage & Condition Requirements for Any Return

Lyophilized peptides and research reagents are sensitive to heat, light, and humidity, and can degrade irreversibly if mishandled — even while still sealed. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, a returned product must:

  • Have its original seal fully intact and unbroken;
  • Show no visible signs of temperature exposure, discoloration, clumping, or damage to the vial or packaging; and
  • Be returned in its original packaging, stored as instructed (protected from direct sunlight and heat) at all times prior to return.
  • remain in it’s original transport parcel unsealed

We reserve the right to refuse a refund, or to offer a partial refund, where a returned product shows evidence of improper storage or handling, regardless of whether the seal remains intact. Where possible, we will inform you of our assessment and the reason for any refusal.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Item

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or different from what you ordered, please contact us at Contact@huntresearchlabs.com as soon as possible, and ideally within 48 hours of delivery. You must include your order number and clear photographs showing the product, the vial label, and the outer parcel and packaging. Photographs are required before we can authorise a return or replacement, so please do not send anything back until we have confirmed. Where we have authorised a return and a fault or damage is confirmed, we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse your reasonable return postage, and arrange a replacement or full refund in line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving and inspecting the returned goods, or confirming your cancellation.
